What you need in Australian Capital Territory
Instructors in Australian Capital Territory are accredited by Access Canberra, which issues the Accredited Driving Instructor accreditation. In outline, you will need to:
- Be at least 21, holding a full Australian car licence with no disqualifications in the last five years
- Hold a Certificate IV in motor vehicle driver training
- Pass a commercial driver's health assessment and hold Working with Vulnerable People registration
- Carry public liability insurance and use an inspected dual-control vehicle
